Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost island, is the reference in the world of freeride skiing, with cumulative snowfall of around 20 metres. Whether using the ski lifts or hiking, we will ski on the most beautiful snow.

Japan is a country of tradition, but also an ideal destination for a powder skiing holiday!

For this safari, we have chosen the island of Hokkaido, the northernmost island in the country.

Nicknamed the ‘last frontier’, it is a place where the most beautiful landscapes meet and collide. The northern island has more than 60 ski resorts...

The quality of the snow is exceptional, as these are said to be the snowiest resorts in the world, with 10 to 15 metres of snow per winter and a humidity level of less than 5%!

Skiing on volcanoes, hot springs, world-renowned and appreciated cuisine, impeccable hospitality: Japan is well worth a visit... The itinerary for this travelling safari will allow you to discover two very distinct regions of the island:

- Furano in the centre of the island is the ideal base from which to explore several different resorts, all less than an hour's travel from each other.

 - Niseko is located in the west of the island. It is the largest ski resort in Hokkaido with a vertical drop of 1,000 metres. The village of Kutchan, which is 250 metres above sea level and right next to Niseko, holds several world records for snowfall, with a peak of 21 metres of snow. It is also an ideal base for visiting other resorts in the area.
